Squash
The squash is an indoor racquet sport its name refers to the "squashable" soft ball which is used in the game. It is a generic name of two similar games commonly known as Squash Rackets or Squash Tennis. Both of the games were derived from the game of rackets. The game of squash was invented by the students (boys) of Harrow School, London around 1820 to 1840. The game is played by two players (in singles) or four players (in doubles) with the help of rackets and a hollow rubber ball. The game is played in a court which is walled from four sides.
The Tennis and Rackets Association was formed in 1922 and it was due to this association that the Squash Rackets Association was formed in 1928. In 1934 the Women’s Squash Rackets Association was created. The International Squash Rackets Federation was founded in 1967 it was later reconstituted in 1992 to World Squash Federation in 1922 first British Open championships were held for women and in the year 1930 first British Open Championship was held for men. The World Championships were held for the first item in 1976 and currently they are held annually of both men and women. The US open was first inaugurated in 1886. The game of squash has acquired international fame. Pakistan for instance has provided a number of brilliant players to the world of squash. Australia has also many notable players. Similarly the game is very popular in countries like New Zealand, Egypt, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan.

The difference between the Hardball and Softball is that the previous one is primarily played in the US and is the American version of the game, while the later on is the British version and is played internationally. The squash ball is made up of rubber or butyle. The diameter of the ball is 39.5 to 41.5 mm (1.56 to 1.63 in). the weight of the ball is 23.3 to 24.6 g (about 1 oz). the color of the ball is black. The ball bounces on high temperatures so many of the players warm up the balls by bouncing them on the ground prior to play. As the playe continues the ball becomes more boncy and faster. The dots on the ball indicate the bouncing level. In tehe year 2000 the federation declared the double yellow ball as the competetion standard.
The squash accessory including the squash racquet and the squash shoes are easily availible on the internet. These can also be bough from the local sports stoes, the squash accessories include the head band, sweat band, bags water bottled and shoes. The thing to consider beofre buying the squash shoes is that the pair must be comfortabel and easily fits your feet. And the shoes don’t make any marks in the court.
The squash rules are governed by the World Squash Federation. The fedaration has made many rules according to the service. The returning and off course the penalties. The game starts with a service. After that the service is made the players alternately hit the ball on the front wall. If a player misses the ball or hits it after its second bounce the game is cannot be continued.
